Case Study - Major Feasibility Study

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) office in a Balkans country awarded a competitively tendered contract to TRLtd to conduct a Feasibility Study for a project to destroy a large, surplus ammunition stockpile.

TRLtd was selected because of in-depth, recent experience of Balkans issues and a proven track record of effectively addressing munitions demilitarization challenges.

TRLtd deployed a team of specialists in the disciplines of political, munitions demilitarization, security, financial and ammunition to the field to gather data. The study report was developed over a four month period whilst continuing to respond to the dynamics of data flowing from the UNDP office and government concerned.

The benefits to the clients was an objective, in-depth study report that concluded that the proposed demilitarization project was feasible and that the prevailing conditions were conducive to success.

The implementation phase of the project commenced the following year.
